How can I make my website more usefull?

About 2 weeks ago I purchased hosting and a domain for what I initially planned to use as a website for holiday home owners to advertise their accomodation (for a fee), but after struggling for ways to market the idea and being in a vicious circle (no one would want to join up because there is no one there, no entrys = more no entrys), I even offered a 2 week free listing. Anyway I decided to convert the usage of the website into a general travel and tourism guidance site, with some affiliates, but still I’m not sure it’s going to be successful. Ideally I’d like to make some kind of income from the site, does anyone have any suggestions? (My web design skills are basic to say the least)

You should have a little training on web designing and you’re supposed to be creative like adding interesting graphics. I saw your website, it needs a little improvement though like the design, but the content is good.

Or maybe you should be patient. Sponsors like ads should be in your site and that’s where you can get profit. you hsould be patient. they’ll come to you.
